Tragedy For Kevin Keller?

Life With Archie #22 features a subplot involving Kevin Keller and his spouse, Clay, wherein Clay is out jogging and runs across a robbery in progress:
We're left with a staple of soap opera scenes, with a gun going off, but a question as to who might have bean injured/killed:

The last scene is Kevin being informed of what happened, though the readers will have to wait.

I like the fact that nothing that happens is a result of Clay or Kevin's sexuality. They're citizens of Riverdale who happen to be gay. A nice change. (Though there is a plot thread that Clay's medical practice isn't getting off the ground because patients aren't coming his way, with an implication of some sort of bias. I think it's a red herring, and that there will be another reason altogether.) The story is written by Paul Kupperberg and drawn by Fernando Ruiz and takes place in the 'Archie Marries Veronica' half of the book.Sadly, there's no Kevin in the 'Archie Marries Betty' half, though Kevin's marriage took place in both alternative universes. If the incident occurred in both, two completely different outcomes could be explored. A missed opportunity.
